Fixed Term Contract until 30 September 2012

Within the Visualisation Group you will develop and implement rendering algorithms for the EPSRC grant "Dynamic Real-World Lighting for Complex Scenes with Applications to Design of the Built Environment".

You will also help within the constantly evolving portfolio of research, assistance in the identification of funding opportunities and preparation of proposals, preparation of reports, paper and presentations, conference organisation and other project related activities as required. You will deal with our international collaborators and colleagues on a regular basis via phone and email, and "meet and greet" when required. You will disseminate relevant information and queries to the Theme and Group leaders, the research team and other University of Warwick personnel as required.

You will possess a PhD in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent. You will have a knowledge of high-dynamic range imagery and physically-based rendering, in particular in programming ray traced based renderers. You will have the ability to organise and interact with a busy group with varied workloads and schedules. You will have experience of a research environment. With excellent IT skills, strong interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills you will be willing to travel occasionally within the UK and possibly overseas.
