PhD/Masters position: Embodied 2D & 3D Locomotion Interfaces for Virtual Reality and Telepresence, at Simon Fraser University

Interested in contributing to innovative research at the intersection of Psychology/Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Human Factors/HCI, and Virtual Reality in an interdisciplinary team? We’re currently looking for bright and motivated PhD/MSc students to join our iSpace lab (iSpaceLab.com) led by Prof. Bernhard Riecke at the School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT), Simon Fraser University in the greater Vancouver region in beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
In particular, we are looking for grad students interested in researching and designing low-cost ground-based and flying (2D/3D) interfaces for immersive Virtual Reality and telepresence (e.g., camera-drones or conference telepresence robots), as well as investigating and designing methods for mitigating motion sickness (in VR and telepresence).

1 PhD/PostDoc position in HCI + Immersive Visualization in Biology

The Interactive Media Lab (https://imld.de/) at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany is offering the following exciting research position (either PhD or postdoc) in the field of immersive data analysis of multiscale biological data.

The position (full time for 2 years or 65% for 3 years) contributes to the interdisciplinary cluster of excellence "Physics of Life" (https://physics-of-life.tu-dresden.de/), which aims at elucidating the "laws of physics" that underlie the dynamic spatiotemporal organization of life into molecules, cells and tissues. Research will be conducted in the field of immersive analytics and immersive scientific data exploration using natural interaction techniques in mixed reality environments.
