Graduate Assistantships at the University of Georgia

The Colleges of Engineering and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia are seeking candidates for two available graduate assistantships in interactive media and virtual reality programming. The persons filling this position will work collaboratively with 3-D animators, engineers, scientists and veterinary faculty members to create and evaluate interactive media for use in science education curricula.
Potential candidates should have experience creating interactive graphics applications or games with modern 3D engines such as Unity3D, UDK, or CryEngine.  Experience working with 3D modeling and animation packages such as Autodesk Maya or 3DS Max in the context of interactive 3D applications is a plus.  Candidates should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and have demonstrated excellence and leadership in multidisciplinary design projects.
Recipients of an assistantship must be enrolled in a full-time graduate degree program at the University of Georgia, preferably a PhD program in a computer science or engineering related discipline.  The assistantship also includes a full tuition waiver.  These assistantships are supported by the National Institutes of Health and University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
To apply for an assistantship, please forward a resume and at least two professional references to Kyle Johnsen, PhD at kjohnsen@uga.edu.  Please include examples of work if possible, and describe applicable experience.
