Research Assistant Position at UCL in Web3D Technologies

At UCL, we are seeking a researcher to help us build next generation online web services for extremely large 3D models. By producing online web services that enable collaborative editing of 3D models, we want to enable crowd-sourcing of large 3D models. We are using Web3D technologies to allow crowd-sourcing of 3D models at an extremely large scale; over the next year we would like to bootstrap the creation of a 3D model of part of London.

The prospective applicant should be familiar with geometry processing pipelines, 3D modelling algorithms or large 3D software projects.

The post is funded for 12 months in the first instance. The post is managed by Prof. Anthony Steed and Prof. Niloy Mitra in the Department of Computer Science.
