Post-Doctoral position in Automatic Control for sustainable development – Uppsala University (Sweden)

The open position is at the Division of Systems and Control, Department of Information Technology at Uppsala University . The division has a broad research competence in automatic control, system identification, signal processing, and system analyses. The post-doctoral position aims to strengthen the research in automatic control with applications in sustainable development. The Division has a long research experience in modelling and control of wastewater treatment plants. Another research area is modelling and control of solar power plants. Recently, we have started a project which aims to reduce emissions from diesel engine combustions by improving the control of exhaust aftertreatment systems. We welcome applications from candidates who want to conduct research in automatic control with applications in sustainable development. Example of research areas are control strategies for energy and resource efficiency of urban water systems and process industries, control of energy production systems, and control of combustion engines.

A Post-Doctoral position requires a Ph.D. degree in automatic control, or equivalent. The degree should typically have been obtained not more than three years ago. A Post-Doctoral position is time-limited for a maximum of two years, and may include some teaching (at most 20%).
