Paris-Saclay in Orsay, Ile-de-France, France starting at the beginning
of 2022. This Ph.D. project is situated in an emerging research area
that lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI),
Virtual and Augmented Reality, Computer-Supported Collaborative Work
(CSCW), and Archaeology and Cultural Heritage research.
The successful candidate will be involved in the design, modelling and
development of a collaborative virtual and augmented reality system for
data mining and analysis in archaeology and cultural heritage. The Ph.D.
project will focus on the rendering of massive data via immersive
interfaces, the development of a collaborative environment for multiple
users and the evaluation of such platforms on archaeological and
cultural heritage scenarios.
The candidate may have various qualifications of Master 2 or equivalent
in the field of Computer Science. The following areas of expertise are
in favour, but particular attention will be paid to technical skills and
experience in the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of immersive
technologies. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced
